Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the
independent learning curriculum at SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI, as well as the
obstacles to the independent curriculum at SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI. This
research uses data collection methods using interviews, observations and
documents. This research uses qualitative analysis techniques which focus
on describing events and occurrences that have occurred at the time the
research was conducted. The results of this research show that implementing
the independent curriculum at SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI starts from grade 10.
This is due to a lack of mastery of the material, as well as a lack of clarity in
the implementation guidelines. Then the independent curriculum program
was not achieved optimally due to inadequate facilities. Because of this, there
are still many teachers who are still confused about the implementation of
the independent curriculum, so the principal has implemented a policy that
the implementation of the curriculum at SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI is only
grade 10. The learning method used by teachers in implementing the
independent curriculum is different from the K13 curriculum learning
method. With an independent curriculum, teachers use jigsaw learning
methods and individual methods, where this learning method adapts to the
character and interests of each student
