MINAT STUDI KEWIRAUSAHAAN BAGI MAHASISWA

Entrepreneurship is often considered as a course that is only suitable for economics and business students, not for education students. Public concern found that education graduates do not have job prospects, wide business perspective, and they are not job creators. These warn universities to introduce entrepreneurship insights and skills to education students. This study investigated how students’ interest in learning entrepreneurship, and how this course can be promoted to them. Participants of this study were students of the Faculty of Education who were selected purposively. Data were collected using survey questionnaires consisted of 20 items with a 5-point Likert scale. Results showed that education students have a high interest in studying entrepreneurship. Implications of the findings that the faculty need to prepare entrepreneurship course guidelines that can be used by educators to design learning material and models which can meet student needs.
