Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the factors that cause food buying habits
of student’s snacks in upper secondary education as the city of Malang. This study uses factor
analysis. This method aims to find new factors results rotation factors have been identified.
The results of this study concluded that factors students buy snack food habits in high school
Malang, namely: (1) Hungry Appetite factors, (2) Factor Type of Food Snacks, (3) Habit
Factor Family, (4) Desire Snack Factor, (5) Factors Treats, (6) Snacks Various Factors, (7)
Desire Factor Eating Snacks Out of School Environment, ( 8 ) Teacher Referral Factor. The
contribution of each factor: 8,338 % hungry taste factor, factor 7,126 % type of street food,
factor family habits 7,096 %, 7,106 % snack craving factors, factors treated to 6,501 %,
6,414 % hawker various factors, factors desire to eat snacks outside the school environment
6,065 %, 5,919 % teacher referrals factors, the most dominant factor that makes high school
students Malang buy street food at school is hungry taste factor is equal to 8.338 %.
