Penerapan Metode Mind Mapping Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar PAI Kejar Paket C

Abstract

The conventional, teacher-centered learning methods have often resulted in passive student engagement and low learning outcomes. This research aims to enhance these methods by implementing Mind Mapping to improve student learning outcomes. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) as its methodology. The findings indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes through the application of the Mind Mapping method at Kejar Paket C PKBM Permata Bangsa. Specifically, the results from the first cycle showed that 12 students (55.30%) achieved a complete score, while 8 students (44.70%) did not meet the required score, resulting in an average learning outcome of 71.25. In the second cycle, the number of students achieving complete scores increased to 16 (86.42%), while 4 students (13.58%) remained incomplete, with an average learning outcome of 90.34. Additionally, observations of tutor activities revealed that in the first cycle, the tutor's effectiveness was rated at 70%, categorized as good. Similarly, student activity was also observed at 70%, indicating good engagement. In the second cycle, both tutor activity and student engagement improved, with scores of 90%, categorized as very good. In conclusion, the implementation of the Mind Mapping learning method has led to a notable increase in the learning outcomes of students enrolled in Package C at PKBM Permata Bangsa.

Metode pembelajaran yang masih bersifat tradisional dan berfokus pada guru cenderung membuat siswa kurang aktif, yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada rendahnya pencapaian belajar. Oleh karena itu, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki metode pembelajaran dengan menerapkan teknik Mind Mapping guna meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Mind Mapping di Kejar Paket C PKBM Permata Bangsa berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Pada siklus I, sebanyak 12 siswa (55,30%) berhasil mencapai nilai tuntas, sementara 8 siswa (44,70%) belum tuntas, dengan rata-rata hasil belajar mencapai 71,25. Di siklus II, jumlah siswa yang tuntas meningkat menjadi 16 siswa (86,42%), sedangkan yang belum tuntas berjumlah 4 siswa (13,58%), dengan rata rata hasil belajar mencapai 90,34. Selain itu, observasi terhadap aktivitas tutor di siklus I menunjukkan skor 70%, yang dikategorikan sebagai baik, sementara aktivitas siswa juga mendapatkan skor yang sama, yaitu 70%. Pada siklus II, observasi aktivitas tutor meningkat menjadi 90% dengan kategori sangat baik, dan aktivitas siswa juga mencatatkan skor 90% dalam kategori yang sama. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran Mind Mapping efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di Kejar Paket C PKBM Permata Bangsa.
