Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation, constraints, and efforts of the zoning system policy on new student admission at State High School 1 Muaro Jambi. This type of research employs qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach, collecting data directly in the field through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that the zoning system policy is being implemented successfully at Muaro Jambi State High School 1. Its implementation is consistent with Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Policy No. 14 of 2018 and the Juknis of the Jambi Provincial Education Office. However, this cannot be separated from the difficulties encountered, which are as follows: 1) the community's understanding of the zoning system has not been fulfilled; 2) there is fraud when registering; and 3) there is fraud when registering. and 4) unsatisfactory servers. And the efforts made to overcome these obstacles include: 1) instilling a sense of responsibility in PPDB implementers, 2) earlier socialization, 3) guiding students based on their potential, and 4) giving support in the form of wi - fi connectivity and desktops for PPDB implementation.
