Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to formulate a talent training management model that can enhance the competitiveness of higher education institutions, with a specific focus on a case study at Guangxi University of Foreign Languages. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis revealed that talent training at the university is structured around eleven key dimensions: relevance, evaluation, aims, communication, time, opportunity, reward, fineness, advancement, connection, and efficiency. These dimensions are synthesized into a comprehensive framework referred to as REACTOR FACE. The model not only seeks to improve technical language competencies but also emphasizes the development of multicultural awareness and cross-border employability. The managerial approach integrates the functions of planning, implementation, evaluation, and incentivization, all aimed at strengthening institutional competitiveness at a global level. Moreover, the model incorporates local values and principles of participatory leadership, making the training more adaptive to regional socio-cultural contexts. The  model’s validity was tested through expert review and received positive feedback in terms of relevance, sustainability, and practicality. The findings conclude that strategically managed talent training based on the REACTOR FACE framework can serve as a vital instrument for producing competent graduates and building globally competitive institutions. This model may also serve as a reference for other higher education institutions, particularly those engaged in language education and multicultural collaboration.
