This study aims to describe the learning interest of fifth-grade students in expressing opinions on the material "The Meaning of Norms in My Life". The research is motivated by the many students who are reluctant to speak to express their opinions in class. The study was conducted at SDN 1 Kauman by observing 27 fifth-grade students and interviewing fifth-grade teachers for additional data. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used include observation sheets and interview guidelines and were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that students' interest and courage in expressing opinions are influenced by internal and external factors. The conclusion of the study states the need to increase teacher participation in increasing student interest in the classroom so that learning runs as desired.
