Inkuiri atau Eksperiensial: Mana yang Lebih Efektif Meningkatkan Pemahaman Statistika Dasar Mahasiswa PGSD?

Penelitian ini mengkaji perbandingan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri dan pembelajaran berbasis eksperiensial dalam mengembangkan pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa calon guru sekolah dasar terhadap statistika dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu tipe Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester empat program studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) pada sebuah Universitas Doktor Husni Ingratubun Papua yang terbagi ke dalam dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri dan kelompok pembelajaran berbasis eksperiensial. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pemahaman konseptual statistika dasar yang telah divalidasi dan diberikan pada tahap pretest serta posttest. Analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelompok memiliki kemampuan awal yang relatif sebanding; namun, hasil posttest mengungkapkan perbedaan signifikan secara statistik yang menguntungkan kelompok eksperiensial. Secara spesifik, kelompok eksperiensial memperoleh skor rata-rata posttest lebih tinggi (M = 87,20) dibandingkan kelompok inkuiri (M = 81,40), dengan hasil uji t independen mengonfirmasi signifikansi perbedaan tersebut (p < 0,05). Temuan ini menegaskan keunggulan pembelajaran berbasis eksperiensial dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep-konsep statistika yang bersifat abstrak. Penelitian ini menyoroti urgensi pedagogis penerapan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual dan aktif dalam program pendidikan guru guna mengoptimalkan literasi statistika calon pendidik.References
