Analisis Hubungan Penggunaan Teknologi Digital Modern dengan Perkembangan Karakter Sosial-Emosional Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar di Era Globalisasi Pendidikan

Perkembangan teknologi digital modern telah membawa perubahan yang signifikan terhadap proses pembelajaran dan kehidupan sehari-hari peserta didik di era globalisasi pendidikan. Meskipun demikian, hubungan antara penggunaan teknologi digital dengan perkembangan karakter sosial-emosional siswa sekolah dasar masih menunjukkan hasil yang beragam, khususnya pada konteks pendidikan dasar di Papua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan penggunaan teknologi digital modern dengan perkembangan karakter sosial-emosional siswa kelas V SD Inpres 1 Koya Timur, Kota Jayapura, Provinsi Papua. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional yang melibatkan 20 siswa melalui teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket yang telah melalui uji validitas isi dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan metode Split-Half Reliability, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif dan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi digital modern berada pada kategori sedang. Perkembangan karakter sosial-emosional siswa menunjukkan bahwa dimensi kesadaran diri dan pengelolaan diri berada pada kategori tinggi, dimensi kesadaran sosial dan pengambilan keputusan berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan dimensi keterampilan menjalin hubungan berada pada kategori rendah. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa belum ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan teknologi digital modern dengan perkembangan karakter sosial-emosional pada sampel penelitian ini. Temuan tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa perkembangan karakter sosial-emosional siswa tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh tingkat penggunaan teknologi digital, tetapi juga kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor lain, seperti lingkungan keluarga, iklim sekolah, interaksi teman sebaya, dan pengalaman belajar. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi empiris mengenai hubungan penggunaan teknologi digital modern dengan perkembangan karakter sosial-emosional pada konteks pendidikan dasar di Papua serta menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan literasi digital dengan penguatan karakter sosial-emosional.
